Today’s Prayer

Almighty God, as we continue our prayer journey, we turn our hearts toward the importance of civic participation in our communities and nation. Your Word teaches us in Jeremiah 29:7, “Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

Lord, we pray for a renewed spirit of civic engagement among all citizens. Inspire people to look beyond just voting and to actively participate in the ongoing work of democracy. Give us hearts that are passionate about the well-being of our communities and the courage to step forward and contribute.

Father, we ask for Your guidance in finding ways to serve our neighbors and improve our localities. Help us to see opportunities for involvement, whether through local government, community organizations, or grassroots initiatives.

We pray for those in positions of community leadership. Grant them wisdom, integrity, and a servant’s heart as they work for the common good. And for those considering such roles, give them the courage and support they need to step forward.

Lord, help us to remember that our civic duty extends beyond election day. May we be faithful stewards of the freedoms and responsibilities we have as citizens. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
