Detailed on this page are our Site’s Policies on the use of AI

The use of Artificial Intelligence technologies has increased dramatically in the past year, and I want to be completely transparent about how these technologies are used on this site and in its content creation.

On this page you will find a list of the different technologies that I employ in order to create the content that I do as quickly as I do and with the quality that I am able.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why Use AI?
Artificial Intelligence is just another tool available to us now. Depending on how it is used, it can be ethically used or not. As I am currently a “one-man show” at the moment, there are many projects and tasks that I need to accomplish quickly, and so AI has proven a great asset in my toolbox to help me get my ideas and content out to the public quickly.
Is it ethical to use AI on a prayer site?
As in most things, something is ethical depending on how it is used. I use these tools to help enhance my already created ideas and thoughts to make them ready for the public. I do not use them to auto post content without ever looking at it.

As a pastor, I would find it very unethical to post devotional and prayer content with my name on it if it was 100% developed by AI without any interaction with me, without me even seeing the content, and being posted to the world.

How do you use AI?
I approach AI with a premise or often a fully developed idea of what I want to accomplish, and I start discussing the project. However, for PrayForTheUSA.today, the process was much more in-depth.

I created a projet with Claude.ai, giving the AI an intro to the project, instructions, and a full Project Knowledge bases with a table of contents of documents and what they included. Then within the documents I had laid out the timeline of the initial 30-day prayer challenge with topics and what I wanted to be included within each. I setup documents to make sure that Claude had the necessary background and abilities, then began our conversation.

I wrote prayers, and Claude responded helping create the prayer points, and then suggestions for reflections, action steps and questions that I could choose from. If I was having difficulty remembering the exact Bible verse reference, Claude was able to offer it or a few options. And Claude was able to then take everything that was created and turn it into an SQL insert code that I could use to quickly get it uploaded onto the website database to post.

Would you ever trust AI to write the whole devotion?
I have actually had it write a whole Daily before, and it did quite well. Claude was able to take all of the previous content that I had created, and the list of content that I wanted to still create, then create a full Daily on its own. I was pleasantly surprised at how thoughtful and theologically sound the prayer was.

Now, there were a few things that were needing to be tweaked or changed, some sentences that I needed to remove, or others that I needed to add, until the content was more of a co-op work. But, it was nice to know that the AI program was not being hindered in anyway from utilizing good doctrine.

But, to the initial question: No, I would not trust the AI to write the whole thing without proof reading it first. Theology, prayer and shepherding God’s people is too vitally important to be lax in this area.

In the future, if I ever do have AI completely write a Daily and I do not update or change it at all, I will have the Daily marked as such. But, it will always be reviewed and verified by myself or another authorized person of the Church.

Which AI Sources do You Utilize?
For help with content creation (ie marketing ready titles, de-rambling paragraphs, grammar checking, etc.) and SEO efforts (ie meta tags, descriptions, etc), I primarily use Claude.ai.

For daily writing checks, like these paragraphs, I use the built-in AI tool in my website builder or a program called Pismo installed on my laptop. These tools allow me to quickly review my writing and update pages efficiently.

For image creation I utilize both Pismo and Claude to help develop my ideas for graphics into a good detailed prompt to provide to Microsoft Designer to get the results that I am aiming for. I may also use AI built into Photoshop for background erasing or expansion on images that I am working on.

AI Generated Images

AI generated Logo. I do not have the exact prompt that I used, but it had something about using the website name "Pray for the USA Today" with patriotic elements and elements of prayer. I went through many renditions and variations provided by AI until I finally found elements that I liked. This is about 80% AI generated with color touchups and lettering fixes made by CDFWarrington. Plus the banner at the bottom was added to connect the site with the ministry Prayer Nook.

An AI Generated Image from prompt: "Create an image of the flag of the USA on a flag pole with a blue sky background and white clouds in the sky. Rays of sunlight shining down showing a majestic flag flying in the breeze". And a photo of a USA flag was provided as a base.

CDFWarrington utilized Linearity Curve, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create the logo in the top right and the lettering. He also used those softwares to expand or manipulate the AI image to bring different elements out, or change element colors. Otherwise, the arms, hands and flag are primarily an AI Generated Image from prompt: "Create a drawn image of people grasping hands around a flagpole with an USA flag". And a photo of a USA flag was provided as a base.

AI Generated Image from prompt: "Create a 3D rendering of the U.S. House of Representatives chamber, featuring the distinctive semicircular seating arrangement and the raised Speaker's rostrum. Include the American flag and official seal suggesting leadership without referencing specific individuals or parties. Have soft morning light streaming through high windows creating a peaceful, contemplative atmosphere. Focus on the architectural details like the tiered seating platforms and marble columns, not individual seats. Use a wide-angle perspective from an elevated position."

AI Generated Image from prompt: "Create a classic portrayal of Lady Justice in white marble balanced against a backdrop of marble columns and a gradient warm sunset sky. Essential elements must include: a secure blindfold over her eyes, balanced scales with clearly connected chains in her right hand, and a sword in her left hand. Position her in front of simple, classic courthouse columns. Ensure the statue appears as one solid piece without disconnected elements. Use warm, hopeful colors but maintain a professional tone. Include subtle architectural elements suggesting government buildings without being specific to any location."

CDFWarrington utilized Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create the center puzzle piece, blend the shadow to match the other pieces, then create a new mask of the American Flag to show within the countries outline. The base image is an AI Generated Image from prompt: "Create a simple, symbolic image of two clearly defined hands reaching toward each other across a subtle outline of the United States. Keep the hands simple and clean, with clear wrists and natural finger positions."

AI Generated Image from prompt: "Create a clean, minimalist composition of a single American ballot box with a gentle glow. Include only US-specific elements like stars and stripes in abstract forms. Use a light, clean background with subtle gradients. Avoid any international or additional voting symbols."

AI Generated Image from prompt: "Create a 3D render of a map of the USA, featuring a large bandage wrapped around it. In close proximity to the map, include an image of the red cross symbol. The overall design should be visually striking and convey a sense of care and healing."

AI Generated Image from prompt: "Create a dignified 3D composition of a rising sun over a simplified American landscape, featuring both urban and rural elements. Include subtle voting symbols like a simplified ballot box or 'I Voted' sticker. Use dawn colors to suggest new beginnings and hope. Maintain a professional, non-partisan appearance."

CDFWarrington utilized Photoshop to meld two images together that were generated with the AI Generated Image prompt: "Create a 3D artistic rendering of a sunrise over a diverse American landscape that includes both city and rural elements. In the foreground, show a path or road leading toward the horizon where the sun is rising. The path should be wide enough for many to walk together, suggesting unity and shared journey. Include subtle American elements like trees and rolling hills without using explicit patriotic symbols. Use warm, hopeful colors in the sky - soft golds, gentle pinks, and calming blues. The overall composition should suggest a new day dawning and a journey forward together." After combining the two images together, he utilized the AI engine within Photoshop to regenerate the people on the road walking into the sunrise with the following prompt: "On the road leading toward the horizon where the sun is rising add the shapes of a crowd of people walking together, suggesting people from all walks of life moving in the same direction, showing unity and a shared journey." He then added the Title and logo to the image.
