Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts burdened for those who face obstacles in exercising their right to vote. Your Word reminds us in Proverbs 31:8-9, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”
Lord, we pray for those who encounter barriers to voting – whether due to physical disabilities, lack of transportation, work constraints, or other challenges. Grant wisdom and compassion to lawmakers and election officials as they work to make voting accessible to all eligible citizens.
We ask for Your intervention in removing unjust obstacles that prevent people from participating in our democracy. May policies be put in place that ensure every voice can be heard and every vote can be cast.
Father, we also pray for those who feel disenfranchised or discouraged from voting. Renew their hope in the democratic process and empower them to overcome the barriers they face.
Guide us, Lord, in supporting our fellow citizens. Show us how we can help make voting more accessible in our communities. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
