~ Proverbs 15:22 (NIV)

Today’s Reflection

Personal responsibility in the democratic process goes beyond just casting a vote. It involves thoughtful consideration, active engagement, and a willingness to listen and learn. Today’s Prayer

Gracious God, as we continue our journey towards Election Day, we come before You seeking wisdom and discernment in our role as citizens. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 15:22, “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.”

Lord, we pray for a spirit of personal responsibility in our participation in the democratic process. Grant us the diligence to research thoroughly and the discernment to separate fact from fiction. Help us to engage in respectful political discussions, listening to others with open hearts and minds.

Father, we ask for Your guidance in recognizing our own biases and how they might influence our decisions. Give us the humility to acknowledge when we might be wrong and the courage to change our minds when presented with truth.

We pray for wisdom in balancing our individual interests with the greater good of our communities and nation. May our choices be guided not by self-interest alone, but by a genuine concern for all Your children.

Above all, Lord, we seek Your will in our decision-making. As we pray and reflect on our civic duties, align our hearts with Your purposes. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
