Today’s Prayer

Gracious God, we come before You recognizing the divisions that sometimes exist between generations in our society. Your Word tells us in Psalm 145:4, “One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.”

Lord, we pray for greater understanding and respect between people of all ages. Help us to value the wisdom of our elders and the energy and fresh perspectives of our youth. Grant us patience to listen to one another and the humility to learn from those both older and younger than ourselves.

We ask for Your guidance in bridging generational gaps in our families, workplaces, and communities. May we create spaces where all voices are heard and valued, regardless of age. Help us to see beyond stereotypes and to appreciate the unique gifts each generation brings to our society.

Let Your love unite us across age divides. May we work together, young and old, to build a nation that honors our past while embracing our future.

In the name of Jesus, who welcomes people of all ages, we pray. Amen.
