Today’s Prayer

Loving Father, Creator of all peoples and generations, we come seeking Your guidance in building bridges across cultural and generational divides. Your Word teaches us in Revelation 7:9 that one day, “A great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, [will be] standing before the throne,” and in Psalm 145:4, You remind us that, “One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.”

Lord, help us celebrate the beautiful diversity of cultures in our nation while recognizing our common humanity. Open our hearts to learn from those whose backgrounds differ from our own. Grant us curiosity about other cultures and humility in our interactions.

We pray for understanding between generations. Help younger and older citizens appreciate each other’s perspectives and experiences. Bridge the gaps that sometimes separate us by age, helping us recognize the value that each generation brings to our national dialogue.

Father, guide us in creating spaces where all cultures and ages feel welcomed and valued. Help us move beyond mere tolerance to genuine appreciation of our differences. May we learn from the wisdom of our elders while embracing the fresh perspectives of youth.

Grant us the ability to see Your image in every person, regardless of their cultural background or age. Let our differences enrich rather than divide us, creating a tapestry that reflects Your creative power and love.

In the name of Jesus, who welcomes all people, we pray. Amen.
