Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, as we begin this 14-day prayer journey for our nation, we come seeking Your wisdom and guidance for those who lead and those who seek to lead. Your Word tells us in James 1:5, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault,” and in Proverbs 10:9, “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.”

Lord, we pray for both wisdom and integrity to mark the character of our leaders. Grant them discernment in their decision-making and courage in their convictions. Help them to seek Your guidance in all matters, both great and small, and to stand firm in ethical conduct even when faced with difficult choices.

We ask that You bless our leaders with clarity of thought and purity of motive. May their words align with their actions, building trust with those they serve. Give them strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to recognize when they need to seek counsel.

Guide them in making decisions that honor You and serve the people. Let Your wisdom prevail over human understanding, and may integrity be the cornerstone of their leadership.

In times of confusion or conflict, may they turn to You as their ultimate source of wisdom. Help them to always choose what is right, even when it’s difficult. Grant them the courage to be transparent in their dealings and accountable for their decisions.

Lord, we ask this knowing that wise and upright leadership blesses entire communities. May our prayers help shape leaders who reflect Your character and serve with both wisdom and integrity.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
