Day 12
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:12 (RSV)
“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.”
Today’s Prayer:
Creator God, we praise You for Your infinite creativity displayed in the diversity of Your creation. We exalt You for designing unity that is enriched by differences rather than diminished by them.
We repent of times we’ve seen diversity as a weakness rather than a strength, forgetting that You intentionally created variety in Your body. Forgive our attempts to force uniformity where You designed harmony.
As Paul teaches through the body metaphor, we ask that You would help us appreciate how our differences make us stronger together. Guide our nation to celebrate the unique gifts each community brings to our whole. Help us honor our distinct parts while working in concert for the common good.
We yield to Your master design, trusting that You have brought our diverse nation together for Your purposes. May we demonstrate to the world the strength of unity in diversity.
