Scripture: Ephesians 4:3 (NASB)
“Being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
Today’s Prayer:
Prince of Peace, we exalt You as the ultimate Bridge Builder, the One who spanned the infinite gap between heaven and earth. We praise You for showing us through Christ how to overcome the chasms that divide us.
We repent of the times we’ve been bridge-breakers rather than bridge-builders, choosing comfort in our own circles over the challenging work of reaching across divides. Forgive our reluctance to take the first step toward reconciliation.
As Paul urges in Ephesians, we ask for Your help to be diligent in preserving unity through peace. Guide Americans of all backgrounds to seek common ground and build lasting bridges of understanding. Grant us the courage to be first in extending hands of friendship across the divisions in our communities.
We yield ourselves to Your work of reconciliation, knowing that true unity comes only through Your Spirit. Make us instruments of Your peace where there is discord.
