Day 7
Scripture: Jeremiah 29:7 (RSV)
“But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.”
Today’s Prayer:
Eternal God, we praise You as the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, who holds all time in Your hands. We exalt You for Your perfect vision that sees the end from the beginning and works all things together for good.
We confess our tendency to focus on short-term gains rather than long-term welfare, often sacrificing future good for immediate benefits. Forgive us when we’ve lacked vision and faith in Your bigger picture.
As Jeremiah instructed Your people, we ask that our Congressional leaders would truly seek the welfare of our nation. Grant them vision to see beyond the next election cycle to the true needs of future generations. Help them craft legislation that builds a strong foundation for our children and grandchildren.
We yield our future into Your capable hands, trusting that You have plans for hope and a future. Guide our nation’s path forward, aligning our steps with Your perfect will and timing.
