Day 21
Scripture: Isaiah 55:8-9 (RSV)
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Today’s Prayer:
Most High God, we praise You as the One whose wisdom far surpasses human understanding. We exalt You for Your perfect purposes that extend beyond our limited perspective.
We acknowledge our human tendency to insist on our own ways and understanding. Forgive us when we’ve failed to trust Your higher purposes for our nation.
As Isaiah reminds us, we ask for Your help to trust Your higher ways and thoughts. Guide our nation to align with Your divine purpose through and beyond this transition. Help us see Your hand at work even when circumstances seem uncertain.
We yield our plans and expectations to Your perfect will, trusting that Your purposes for our nation are higher than our highest aspirations. May this transition serve Your divine plan for America’s future.
