Day 16

Scripture: Matthew 20:26-28 (ESV)

“But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Today’s Prayer:

Almighty God, we praise You for sending Jesus as the perfect example of servant leadership. We exalt You for showing us that true greatness comes through humble service to others.

We repent of our culture’s tendency to view leadership as a position of power rather than an opportunity to serve. Forgive us when we’ve encouraged or accepted self-serving leadership over sacrificial service.

As Jesus taught, we ask that You would instill a spirit of genuine service in our executive leadership. Guide them to seek the welfare of all Americans above personal gain or partisan advantage. Help them understand that their authority is meant for service, not self-advancement.

We yield our definitions of leadership to Your perfect example, trusting that Your way of humble service leads to true greatness. May our leaders reflect Christ’s heart of sacrifice and service.

Amen.
