Day 4

Scripture: Philippians 2:2-4 (KJV)

“Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.”

Today’s Prayer:

Eternal Father, we praise You for being a God of perfect unity – Three in One, working in complete harmony. We glorify Your name for showing us through Your own nature how unity can exist within diversity.

We acknowledge our failure to seek unity in our legislative process, often choosing division over cooperation, and partisanship over the common good. Forgive us for times we’ve prioritized winning arguments over finding common ground.

As Paul urged the Philippians, we ask that our legislators would be “of one accord,” seeking the nation’s good above personal gain. Guide them to look beyond party lines, considering each other’s perspectives with genuine respect. Help them find that delicate balance between standing firm on principles and working together for the common good.

We yield to Your perfect plan for unity in our nation. Though we may not always see the path forward, we trust that You can bring harmony from discord and cooperation from conflict. May Your spirit of unity prevail in the halls of Congress.

Amen.
